Family Nurse Practitioner - Urgent Care
Location: Penn Yan, NY
Virtus Healthcare Staffing is seeking a dedicated Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) to join our partner Medical Group in Penn Yan, NY, and contribute to expanding access to care in the community. This full-time position offers a rewarding opportunity to work in urgent care, providing timely and comprehensive care to patients of all ages.
Responsibilities:
- Evaluate and treat patients presenting to the urgent care setting with a variety of acute illnesses and injuries.
- Perform thorough physical examinations, order and interpret diagnostic tests, and develop appropriate treatment plans.
- Prescribe medications and provide patient education on self-care and follow-up instructions.
- Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure continuity of care.
- Maintain accurate and complete medical records, adhering to all documentation standards.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and outcomes.
Qualifications:
- Board Certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner
- Active and unrestricted NYS License
- Excellent clinical assessment and decision-making skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced and dynamic urgent care environment
Schedule:
- Full-time, 36 hours per week
- 3-4 days per week
