This role is based in Lawton, OK and reports to the Project Engineering Manager. This is a project leadership role and requires the incumbent to have experience in project execution, technical support, documentation and reporting, coordination, risk management, and compliance.The work will be in both the plants and corporate office with close collaboration across departments such as operations, maintenance, quality control, health and safety, logistics, etc.Principal Responsibilities
  • Lead and oversee the execution of engineering projects, including managing resources, budgets, and timelines. Projects include various modifications to facilities, equipment, and buildings.
  • Plan and manage the installation and commissioning phases in our plants, while ensuring that the corporate health and safety standards are observed.
  • Ensure the quality, safety and conformity of work and equipment, before and after delivery and installation.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, such as clients, contractors, and regulatory authorities
  • Tackle complex engineering challenges, make critical decisions, and resolve technical issues that arise during project implementation.
  • Implement quality control measures, review design, and construction documentation, and ensure compliance with applicable codes and standards
Qualifications & Experience
  • 0-5 years of progressive experience in engineering, in a manufacturing environment or in a related field.
  • Bachelor of Mechanical or Civil Engineering
  • Hold a valid driver's license.
  • Knowledge of extrusion and plastic molding equipment would be an asset.
  • Experience with AutoCad and Office Suite
  • Project management skills with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Highly motivated, versatile, and dedicated
  • Excellent skills in customer relationship management.
  • Travel up to 30% of the time between Canada and the US is required for this position. The successful candidate will need to maintain their right to travel between both countries throughout their employment at IPEX.
