We are more than a transportation company. Forward is a single resource for your shipping needs.Position: Order ProcessorWe are seeking a detail-oriented Order Processor to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for handling various tasks related to processing transportation orders, ensuring accuracy and timely completion of all documentation, and maintaining effective communication with customers and internal teams.Core Responsibilities & Duties:Prepare order documentation accurately and in a timely mannerLog orders into Google Docs for material handlers to actionCorrespond with customers regarding order status and inquiriesPerform daily audits of order documentation to ensure completeness and accuracyCoordinate various transportation projects as assignedUtilize Oracle for order transacting and data managementVerify orders to ensure they meet specified requirementsVerify waybills and shipping documents for accuracyFile and maintain organized records of transportation documentsResearch and resolve problems related to orders and shipmentsCoordinate pick-ups and create Bills of Lading (BOL) or House Air Waybills (HAWB) as neededSupport FedEx shipping lines and ensure compliance with shipping guidelinesOther duties as assignedJob Requirements & Qualifications:High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) requiredPrevious experience in transportation, logistics, or supply chain operationsKnowledge of shipping and freight forwarding processesExperience in a similar order processing or customer service roleAbility to lift up to 50 pounds as part of the job dutiesProficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and OutlookExperience with Oracle or similar ERP systems preferredFamiliarity with SharePoint or document management systemsExcellent verbal and written communication skills for direct customer communication via phone and emailStrong organizational skills with attention to detailAbility to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environmentProblem-solving skills and ability to research and resolve issues independentlyWhat We Offer:Competitive base salaryPaid time off within the first year of employment, sick time and holidaysCompany provided life insuranceHealth, vision, and dental insurance optionsCommuter benefit planOptional supplemental life insurance401(k)A great place to work with a terrific culture#INDAbout UsSince 1990, Forward Air has been a leading provider of ground transportation and related logistics services to the North American air freight and expedited LTL market.
