JOB POSTING

Job Title: Assembly Lead

Department: Small Parts Assembly Department

Reports to: Production Manager

Position Summary:

The purpose of the Assembly Lead is to assist the Production Manager with work orders and parts. Will also assist with management of daily activities following established operating procedures and supervising personnel. This position is highly repetitive in nature, and requires constant concentration.

Position Responsibilities:

* Oversee Assembly projects efficiently and accurately, maintain records and ensure a safe

work environment.

* Ensure that the entire parts assembly department is meeting its daily, weekly and monthly

goals and objectives.

* Advise management of pertinent changes in working conditions or significant

information that may present short and long term impacts on inventory and overall

output.

* Receive and respond to employee concerns and complaints in regards to working

conditions and safety.

* Ensure equipment and supplies are available and operational at all times by the timely

reporting of shortages or malfunctions to the manager.

* Ensure that changes in department work are processed according to established policy,

procedure and standards.

* Assist in the periodic updating of the procedures manual and reference notebooks.

* Schedule, supervise and evaluate the work of all staff engaged primarily in parts

assembled.

* Monitor and evaluate changes to floor inventory and authorize adjustments to

reduce/increase inventory flow.

* Establish specific goals and standards of performance utilizing performance management principles and practices to fully

maximize employee productivity. Develop and implement strategies to meet departmental productivity goals.

* Maintain open lines of communication with other key departments.

* Perform other duties as assigned by supervisory or management personnel.

Qualifications/Education/Experience/Skills:

* Knowledge of continuous improvement processes.

* Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment.

* Ability to work overtime if required

* Excellent interpersonal skills.

* Ability to work in a team environment.

* Experience with various computer applications
