Our client is looking to hire a Production Manager! The Production Manager oversees daily operations to ensure that production processes runsmoothly, efficiently, and meet the company s quality standards. This leader plays a critical role inmanaging resources, ensuring safety compliance, meeting production targets, and optimizing workflows.Qualified candidates will ideally have strong shop floor management with experience in LEAN manufacturing practices. Automotive experience is desired. Job RequirementsResponsibilities:- Oversee daily production activities, ensuring all work meets production schedules, quality standards, and safety guidelines.- Monitor production metrics, including efficiency, productivity, and quality, to identify and address any deviations from targets.- Be the liaison between production team and the support function teams.- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to streamline processes, reduce costs, and increase productivity.- Identify opportunities for process improvements and work with management to implement Lean Manufacturing, Shop Floor Management or other methodologies.- Monitor and improve key performance indicators like cycle time, downtime, and operational efficiency.- Demonstrate positive leadership behaviors and lead by example.- Foster a collaborative culture focused on teamwork, continuous improvement, and employee development.- Provide training and mentorship to build a high-performing workforce.- Enforce safety protocols and regulations, ensuring a safe work environment and compliance with OSHA and company-specific safety standards.- Motivate employees to demonstrate a good safety mindset and to report unsafe working situations- Support implementation of safety corrective measures.Qualifications:- Bachelor s degree in Manufacturing, Industrial Engineering, Business, or a related field preferred (or equivalent experience).- Proven experience (typically 3-5 years) as a production manager or in a similar role in a manufacturing environment.- Demonstrated experience/mindset in Continuous Improvement activities - SMED, standard work, pull systems, 5S, Shop Floor Management, etc.- Strong understanding of production processes, quality control, and safety standards.- Proficiency in production management software (e.g., ERP systems) and MS Office.- Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, manage multiple priorities, and adapt to changing demands.Benefits:- First day benefits (Medical, Vision, and Dental)- Bonus Structure- Paid Time Off- Paid Holidays- 401K Match- Development Opportunities- Flexible for Hybrid Work
