DESCRIPTION OF WORK

As an Accountant 2, you will provide advanced professional accounting work in the classification, analysis, and reporting of financial data for Ebensburg Center, according to generally accepted accounting principles, DHS regulations, Ebensburg Center policies, and federal regulations that govern public funds. Work includes preparing accounting and budgetary reports, oversee the Commonwealth Purchasing Card Program, and plan and supervise the work of the Accounting and Purchasing offices as well as the Storeroom.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

* Full-time employment.

* Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.

* Travel as needed.

* Overtime as needed.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

* One year as an Accountant 1; or

* Two years of professional accounting experience, and graduation from a four-year college or university, including or supplemented by fifteen credits in accounting; or

* Four years of bookkeeping experience and fifteen college credits in accounting may be substituted for college graduation. A Master's degree in Accounting or a related field may be substituted for one year of general work experience.

Other Requirements:

* You must pass a background investigation.
