Join Oliver Healthcare Packaging as a Lean Leader and lead the charge in transforming our Grand Rapids facility into a model of efficiency, quality, and customer satisfaction.Position SummaryAs our Lean Leader, you'll spearhead key Operational Excellence activities, using Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement (CI) methodologies to streamline our value streams, reduce costs, and elevate customer satisfaction. You'll be a key partner to site leadership, crafting strategic plans and executing programs that build a culture of continuous improvement aligned with our long-term goals.What You'll Do:
- Lead Transformation: Execute high-impact process improvement projects aimed at reducing costs, improving quality, and enhancing safety.
- Strategic Partnership: Collaborate closely with site leadership to develop multi-year plans and ensure alignment with strategic goals.
- Foster a Lean Culture: Coach employees at all levels on Lean principles, creating a highly effective daily management process using tools like one-piece flow, zero defects, and standardized work.
- Engage and Empower: Lead workshops and projects to involve employees at every level, creating ownership and accountability for continuous improvement.
- Deliver Financial Results: Drive cost-saving initiatives with clear, measurable financial outcomes within defined timeframes.
- Develop Leaders: Mentor frontline supervisors to become change agents, enhancing their leadership and change management skills.
What You'll Bring:Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Science, or equivalent.
- 5+ years of experience in Manufacturing Operations or Lean/CI roles.
- Expertise in Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen, and continuous process improvement.
Preferred Qualifications
- Proven ability to influence and lead cross-functional teams, fostering a collaborative environment.
- Excellent communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills.
- Experience in using CI tools like Value Stream Mapping, Kanban, SMED, 5S, and A3 thinking.
