Position will engage with Hyper-scalars, Data Center and Wholesale operators (sales, Bis-Dev, engineering, etc) to support demand for network services that CCI sells including Dark-fiber, Waves, Ethernet, Cell back-haul and DIA. Candidate should have a solid understanding of operators in our markets as well as the demand set that exists within the Hyper-scalar and Data Center footprint buildings/campus. Responsibilities
    Support sales team with new MRR sales on a month-to-month basis Detailed and specific knowledge of dark fiber, DWDM, DIA, Cell back-haul, and Ethernet, Hyper-scalar and Data Center services Support and help achieve the sales strategy for the overall Sales team Develop and maintain strong relationships with our customer base, sales engineering and operations staff within the Data Centers and Hyper-scalars in our footprint Uncover and help support business development opportunities for unique deals, potential partnership and new targets for potential fiber builds Work well with extended internal teams: engineering, OSP, finance, product, Bis-Dev Provide regular feedback internally on competitive dynamics Qualifications
      College Degree or equivalent experience 5+ years of direct experience in a Sales Engineering roll, supporting a Sales team focused on Wholesale, Hyper-scalars, and Data Center customers Bachelor's degree in telecommunications, computer science, engineering, or related field or equivalent experience Deep understanding of the data center ecosystem including Data Center operators, Hyper-scalers, CDNs, IP/Peering, and how that knowledge translates into network services demand Minimum five years of experience in technical sales engineering/support roles within the telecommunications industry Expert-level technical skills with MEF standards and associated technologies Strong technical presentation skills Excellent verbal and written communication skills Consistent focus on results and goal achievement Strong teamwork skills along with the ability to work independently Ability to handle ambiguity and anticipate and quickly react to changes in a fast-paced environment In depth knowledge of network design, WAN technologies and designs, Internet technologies and functionality, networking protocols, data networking technologies and services, and deep understanding of fiber optic network design and technologiesPhysical Requirements: Physical demands are minimal and generally consistent with the performance of routine office duties. Majority of the day is spent sitting at a desk, working with computers, printers, files, and standard office equipment. Movement is required in the use of office equipment, supply locations, files, and other work locations and meeting rooms. Lifting, generally less than 20 pounds occasionally required for transporting boxes, materials and office supplies. Must be able to communicate effectively to perform job tasks.
