We are a family business seeking local and organic food obsessed, positive, meticulous, hard workers to join our Culinary Team in Bedford, NY. Duties include:
- Food preparation: Prepares ingredients, including cleaning, cutting, and washing
- Cooking: Cooks menu items according to recipes and instructions, including light bites, main dishes, sides, sauces, and dressings.
- Presentation: Plates food based on the chef's instructions
- Kitchen Maintenance: Cleans and sanitizes dishes, utensils, and other kitchen equipment
- Stocking: Stocks and sets up kitchen stations
- Food Safety: Ensures that the kitchen meets food safety regulations and hygiene standards
- Customer Service: Works with front of house to ensure orders are completed on time and to request
Line Cooks should have the following skills and abilities:
- Basic written and verbal communication skills
- Organizational Skills
- Accuracy and speed in executing tasks
- Ability to work as a team member
- Ability to follow printed recipes and plate specifications
- Ability to remain calm in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to stand, bend, stretch, and lift, and carry heavy materials.
