Job Description :
Staff On Site are currently looking for housekeepers in the Beloit area. You would be responsible for cleaning patient rooms, patient use areas, rest rooms, offices and other assigned areas.Shifts available are 1st and 2nd.Pay: 1st shift $15.50 Job Duties
  • Essential Job Duties
    • Maintains the hospital in a sanitary and attractive condition.
    • Vacuums, spot cleans and recommend cleaning of carpeting.
    • Collects and disposes of trash
    • Use cleaning supplies and disinfectants appropriately and in the correct ration.
    • Cleans all surfaces in areas of responsibility unless otherwise instructed.
    • Dusts high and low areas
    • Dry and wet mop floors
    • Cleaning windows and mirrors performs other duties as assigned.
  • Peripheral Job Duties
    • Assists in the selection and evaluation of supplies and equipment
  • Job Requirements
  • Knowledge of training
    • Must successfully complete job skills training checklist.
    • Experience in housekeeping is desirable.
  • Authority and Accountability
    • Personal Protective equipment is required, such as, gloves, goggles, mask and gown
    • Must adhere to established hospital and Housekeeping Department policies, rules and regulations.
    • Demonstrates safe work habits and reports unsafe conditions and/or incidents as they occur.
    • Participate in professional development activities and departmental meetings.
    • Responsible for assimilating information from observation (i.e. patient needs, safety factors and maintenance requirements)
    • Demonstrates respect and courtesy to patients and visitors and maintains positive working relations with hospital staff.
    • Organized time to account for workload and priority
    • Maintains ethical conduct and keep confidential personal and medical information about patients

  • Physical Qualification Requirements
    • Successful completion of pre-placement physical exam.
    • Ability to handle and grip items.
    • Ability to operate equipment.
    • Involves physical effort that includes full range of body and motion.
    • Involved extend periods of standing and walking.
    • Involves frequently lifting of items up to 30 pounds from floor to shoulder level
    • Involves frequently carrying items up to 30 pounds for distances up to 50 feet
    • Involves frequently pushing or pulling a cart requiring up to 20 horizontal force pounds momentary and up to 10 horizontal force pounds sustained.
    • Involves occasional ascending and descending stairs.
    • Involves turning over 34-pound mattresses
    • Requires frequent stooping, bending and crouching.
    • Ability to reach overhead is required.
    • Ability to communicate effectively and interact with the public.
    • Requires manual and finger dexterity and eye/hand coordination.
    • Requires the ability to see and hear at a sufficient level to perform job duties with or without reasonable accommodation.
    • Requires the ability to work independently.
    • Involves working in a congested, slippery environment.
    • Requires some exposure to communicable diseases and body fluids
    • Requires frequent contact with strong cleaning chemicals disinfecting solutions.
    • Requires working in sometimes stressful conditions and irregular hours.
