This role will serve as the Subject Matter Expert on stormwater compliance and will play a key role in educating construction professionals, government staff, and the public on stormwater rules and regulations. They will also assist department staff with stormwater permitting compliance and will be involved in conflict resolution. The Ideal CandidateThe ideal candidate for this position should possess the following:
  • Two years of experience in construction stormwater management
  • Expertise in developing, implementing, and reviewing erosion and sediment control plans
  • Experience implementing stormwater Best Management Practices (BMPs) in practical settings
  • Experience implementing Construction General Permit requirements on active construction sites
  • Experience educating and training construction site operators and the public
  • Experience managing data and asset tracking systems to ensure accurate reporting and maintain compliance
Minimum Qualifications: A combination of education, training, and experience resulting in the required knowledge, skills, and abilities. An example of qualifying education and experience includes:Program Manager I: Graduation from an accredited four-year college or university with a bachelor's degree in a program related field. In addition, two years performing supervisory, administrative, analytical or fiscal work in a program related field.Program Manager II: One year of experience equivalent to Program Manager I.Licenses and Certificates A valid CALIFORNIA driver's license will be required at the time of appointment and must be maintained throughout employment. The following professional certifications are strongly preferred:
  • Qualified Stormwater Pollution Prevention Plan Developer (QSD)
  • Qualified SWPPP Practitioner (QSP)
