Job Description: Black Owl Recruiting is searching for a reliable and compassionate Registered Nurses in the New York State area for a very reputable client. This will be a permanent placement. The home-care nurse's responsibilities include performing patient visits and monitoring their conditions, conducting tests, and writing reports for the physician. You should be able to address all the caregivers' concerns and make appropriate adjustments to the patients' in-home management plan. To be successful, you should be a nurturing individual who can handle a wide range of tasks without being squeamish. Outstanding candidates possess the mental strength and resilience to care for patients and are also able to provide emotional support to family members if required. Responsibilities:Patient Assessment and Care Planning:Conduct initial and ongoing assessments of pediatric patients' health status.Develop and implement comprehensive care plans based on assessment findings and in collaboration with the healthcare team.Skilled Nursing Procedures:Perform clinical procedures such as administering medications, wound care, IV therapy, and tube feedings.Monitor vital signs, assess patient responses to treatments, and adjust care plans as needed.Patient and Family Education:Educate patients and their families about diagnoses, treatment plans, and medications.Provide guidance on disease management, nutrition, and other healthcare needs.Emotional Support and Advocacy:Offer emotional support to pediatric patients and their families during challenging times.Advocate for patient needs and rights within the healthcare system.Collaboration and Communication:Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and other healthcare providers to ensure coordinated and effective care.Maintain clear and timely communication with the healthcare team and document patient progress accurately.Emergency Response:Be prepared to handle emergency situations and provide immediate interventions as necessary.Follow established protocols for emergency care and communicate effectively during crises.Compliance and Quality Assurance:Adhere to all regulatory standards, policies, and procedures related to pediatric home healthcare.Participate in quality assurance activities to maintain high standards of care delivery. Requirements:Associates degree in nursing or similar.BLS (Basic Life Support) certificationAdditional courses in biology, anatomy, and science may be required.Relevant license and certification.A completed apprenticeship or experience in a similar role.Excellent observational and problem-solving skills.The ability to follow instructions but also to act independently if necessary.Excellent report writing skills.Active listening skills and empathy.Physical and mental strength.A valid driver's license and reliable transport may be required.
