The successful candidate will provide crucial support to individuals and communities impacted by natural disasters.We work to ensure that those affected receive timely assistance, accurate information, and compassionate support.Job Title: Shelter Coordinator SupervisorProject Name: GEMA Disaster ProgramJob Summary:We are seeking a dedicated Shelter Coordinator Supervisor to join our team. The Shelter Coordinator Supervisor will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of shelter facilities, providing leadership and support to shelter staff during their designated shifts. This position requires excellent organizational, interpersonal, and crisis management skills. The Shelter Coordinator Supervisor is responsible for overseeing daily operations of a shelter, ensuring the required resources are available, managing staff and vendors, and maintaining a welcoming and supportive environment.Key Responsibilities:
  • Supervision and Leadership: Provide guidance, direction, and supervision to shelter staff during assigned shifts.
  • Training: Provide training to Shelter Coordinator staff. Evaluate and update training materials and resources as needed.
  • Vendor Management: Address any emergent situations or concerns promptly and appropriately.
  • Conflict Resolution: Mediate conflicts among shelter residents and staff, seeking peaceful resolutions and maintaining a safe and respectful environment.
  • Reporting: Maintain accurate records of shelter activities and incidents. Prepare shift reports and share essential information.
  • Incident Response: Act as a point of contact during incidents and implement protocols as necessary.
    • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
    • 3+ years of experience in financial reconciliation or accounting, preferably in a fast-paced or disaster recovery environment.
    • Experience with folio or ghost card systems is highly desirable.
    • Strong attention to detail and analytical skills.
    • Proficiency in financial management software and reconciliation tools.
    • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities during high-stress situations.
    Standard Schedule:
    • This is a temporary assignment
    • Monday to Friday
    • 8am - 5pm (1 hour Lunch)
