It's In Our Nature!Ideal Candidate ProfileThe following qualifications are considered desirable for the Recycling Specialist II position:Professional level environmental experienceProfessional experience in conducting market analysis and waste composition studies; conducting evaluation and feasibility studies on waste reduction, waste diversion, household waste recycling, and/or resource recovery programs; and preparing progress reports from collected dataProfessional experience in creating and implementing marketing and public outreach programs pertaining to waste reduction and diversionExperience in developing and delivering presentations to trade groups, businesses, and community groups pertaining to waste reduction and diversionExperience in assisting entities to comply with administrative or ordinance requirements and/or code enforcementExperience in planning and implementing community eventsKnowledge of solid waste recycling programs and State of California laws affecting recycling and a broad spectrum of materials, including paper; glass and plastics; construction and demolition debris; organic materials; and/or household hazardous wasteExcellent verbal and written communications, interpersonal skills, and teamwork/collaboration skillsIf you believe that you possess these qualifications and skills, join our team!Hiring Timeline & DatesJob Offer and Background Process begins in January 2025.
