Machine Operator 1st Shift (7:00am - 3:30pm)Location: N. Mankato, USJob Family: ManufacturingCountry/Region: United StatesOperate skin care production equipment with compliance to GMPs and ISO standards while assisting in packaging and filling of product to ensure readiness for customer satisfaction. This position controls direct variable costs by reducing labor hours, defects and manufacturing errors while maintaining knowledge and schedule deadlines.Major Areas of AccountabilityOperate Packaging Equipment in compliance to cGMPs and ISO standardsPackage all containers in the proper labeled cartons as instructed by the work order, while maintaining a high degree of integrity in Coloplast packagingCheck cap torques and weights as specified by the work ordersLabel each filled pallet of finished product to facilitate organized storage of finished goods inventoryAssist in operation of filling equipment-such as inserting sprayers, etcUnderstand, follow, and complete work orders to correctly package the productPerform various quality inspections necessary for productionGeneral good housekeeping practices of packaging areaApply continuous improvement approach to packaging areaKnowledge of company policies, procedures, health and safety regulations, plans and interdepartmental relationshipsSetup of skin care to prepare materials for production lineClean and sanitize skin care manufacturing equipment, as requiredEnsure that the working environment is neat and orderlyFollow all FDA regulations and cGMP guidelines, including the filling out of all necessary documents to ensure compliance-such as cleaning logsAbility to scan raw materials to work orders for verification and accuracy purposes regularly.Perform related duties as requestedBasic QualificationsAbility to read, analyze, interpret and implement department procedures in English.Computer knowledge and good typing skills required.Ability to lift minimum 25 pounds on a regular basisMust be able to lift 50 pounds periodicallyMicrosoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), VeevaStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsMust lead by example and demonstrate professionalismMust set and follow through with behavioral expectations in accordance with Coloplast valuesMust pass skill and knowledge onto other team membersPreferred Qualifications:1-3 years packaging or machine operating experienceMicrosoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), VeevaHigh School Diploma or GEDERP experience with ERP systems (Enterprise One preferred)Required Knowledge, Skills and AbilitiesSelf-motivation and a genuine interest in improving processes and internal customer relationships.Must lead by example and demonstrate professionalismStrong communication skillsMust be able to take initiative to keep projects on scheduleMust work well as a team and be adaptable/flexible.Attention to detail and the ability to follow up on previous work.An understanding of the importance of customer focusAbility to multi-task.Must be able to stand, kneel or squat for extended periods of timeMust be able to climb ladders, work at elevated heights.Must be able to push/pull over 50 poundsMust be able to reach above shoulder levelMust be able to operate power/hand toolsAbility to organize efficiently and effectivelyAbility to convey a positive and professional image to internal and external customersAbility to lead by example and assist team membersKnowledge of materials, machines, tools, and production stepsKnowledge of company policies, procedures, health and safety regulations, plans and interdepartmental relationshipsColoplast employees are required to conduct business to the highest ethical and professional standards; comply with applicable laws and regulations, the Advamed Code of Ethics on Interactions with Healthcare Professionals, and company policies.Coloplast is committed to a policy of Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) which means we employ and promote individuals based on their merits, regardless of race, color, religion, sex, national origin, age, disability, veteran status, pregnancy, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, genetic information, marital status, citizenship status, status with regards to public assistance or any other protected classification.#J-18808-Ljbffr
