This position is also responsible for running end of day, organizing inventory, picking/pulling parts and distributing materials.Essential Functions/Job Responsibilities:Receiving:Open bales, crates, and other containers.Receive incoming shipments of materials, products, or supplies.Count items received and check against packing slips, recording any discrepancies, note any shortage or damage. Receive materials in the ERP system and trigger exceptions like return to vendors as needed.Pull and stage product designated to go to Quality Control.Log information in appropriate form.Stage product to designated locations for product put away.Sort and place parts or items on racks, shelves, or in bins according to predetermined sequence such as size, type, style, color, or product code.Load and unload truck with forklift or pallet jack.Read work orders or pick slips to determine items to be moved, gathered, distributed or shipped.Maintains components, manufactured components or finished goods inventory, including stocking shelves and maintaining parts bins.Shipping:Print labels and inserts and product documentation to be packed with the finished goods.Operate a scale, packaging machine, scanner, box stapler, heat sealer, tape gun.Weigh and count items for work order to ensure conformance to work instruction.Bag, edge and box finished goods as per standard procedures.Wrap and strap pallets.Visually inspect finished goods to ensure it meets physical appearance standards.Operate and perform daily maintenance of packing machine.Data entry of journal transactions in the ERP system.Creates shipping labels or BOL as specified on pick ticket.Prepares outbound shipment; selects appropriate shipping container; packs items to ensure safe delivery.Others:Load and unload trucks or racks with forklift or pallet jack.Maintain the warehouse and work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition and follow prescribed safety regulations.Participates in taking inventory, maintains storage area, organizes and places stock on shelves and ensures area is secure at all times.Communicate any exceptions discovered in operating processes to Supervisor or designee.Participates in Continuous Improvement projects.Perform additional functions as requested by management.Education and/or Experience:High School diploma or equivalent.Forklift Certification is a requirement.MS Office knowledge is required.Good mathematical skills.Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team environment.Physical Demands:No restrictions on wearing required PPE for area, including safety eyewear and steel toed shoes.Moderate physical activity.
