Position Overview:As a customs entry writer, your primary responsibilities are to review import and export documents, ensure that all customs invoices and shipment papers are present, and prepare paperwork for clearance.Essential Duties & Responsibilities:Use specialized software to track inventoryApply for drawbacks and refundsSign brokerage documentsOrganize customs rejectionsAnswer client customs questionsComplete clerical duties and monitor the processing for goods going through customsUtilize benchmarks to procure transportations services at rates that are competitive to CJLMay be required to be on call and work as part of a Saturday rotationAdditional job duties as assignedRequirements and Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Transportation, or Supply Chain Management is preferred1 year of professional experience or related trainingExperience with organization, planning, and follow-through1 year of experience in Customs BrokerageExperience working in a TMS and/or CRMCompetency in Microsoft Office and Google applicationsExcellent interpersonal and customer service skills; must have the ability to work as part of a team in a collaborative environmentExcellent verbal and written communication skills; must be able to communicate effectively via email, phone, and during face-to-face meetingsAbility to work in a fast-paced environmentAbility to exercise judgment and discretion and function independently, within authorized limitsPay, Benefits and More:Pay Range: $50-62KCompetitive compensation packageFull health insurance (medical, dental, and vision), 401(k), Life insurance, tuition assistance, PTO, and MORE!Growing company with a performance record that continues to climb!Open-door work environmentHigh-Performance culture with a focus on a growth mindset where continuous improvement is embracedOpportunities for advancement!CJ Logistics About Statement:CJ Logistics delivers integrated and multimodal logistics services, connecting every corner of the world via air, sea and land.
