Sheet Metal Manufacturing Engineer

Objective: Under the leadership of the Senior Engineer and Senior Vice President of Engineering, the candidate must be able to design new and custom parts in SolidWorks/Inventor and methodize the manufacturing process. The candidate should be knowledgeable in drafting disciplines including revision control, manufacturing tolerances, welding symbols, and the cost of manufacturing methods. The candidate must also be able to work closely with sales representatives and cover the role of a sales engineer to provide our customers with accurate and timely quotes.Qualifications:5+ years of experience in manufacturing with a background in fabrication and CNC environmentsSheet metal: 2 years (Required)Manufacturing: 5 years (Required)AutoCAD: 5 yearsSolidWorks or Inventor: 5 yearsJob Requirements:Must be proficient in AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Inventor, or another brand of 3D CAD softwareWill need working knowledge of sheet metal development and/or manufacturing/fabrication techniquesProficient in MRP and MS Office software platformsStrong organizational skillsGood administrative, interpersonal, and communication skillsAbility to work as an individual contributor and a team playerReliable, good work ethic, and high integrityEssential Duties and Responsibilities:New and custom parts need to be designed in SolidWorks or InventorDesign new products and redesign existing sheet metal partsOptimize cost-effectiveness of manufacturing methodsUnderstand the theory of flat pattern layout and use our 3D CAD software to create sheet metal parts and reverse-engineered components as neededGenerate assembly models and drawings for mechanical assembliesTroubleshoot problems in the manufacturing of sheet metal partsThe ability to design welding fixtures is a plusReview all product requirements to ensure full compliance with the company's capabilities, industry standards, and best practicesDevelop best practices and tools for project execution and managementOther duties as assigned by ManagementPay Range:$65,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year - Based on experience#J-18808-Ljbffr
