The Emergency Services Clinician (ESC) has primary responsibility for providing mental health consultations to the Emergency Department (ED) as requested, when the subject of concern in the ED presentation is psychiatric in nature. Treatment history is researched, the patient is interviewed, information is secured and provided to family and collaterals as appropriate, clinical information including diagnostic impressions and recommended disposition is communicated to the ED physician and supervising psychiatrist and the contract is documented according to standards. When not engaged directly in conducting ED consultations, the ESC may assist with programming on the inpatient Behavioral Heath Unit and/or perform other duties as assigned.

- Experience with Pediatric, Adolescent, and Adult Patients - Required
- Recent travel experience
- Experience with de-escalation of agitated patients
- De-Escalation Training of any kind, CPI or NAPPI/Welle Certifications- Required
- Cerner experience - Preferred
