* Researches, composes, designs and disseminates promotional and educational newsletters, brochures, handouts, flyers, social media posts, email blasts, and programs used in teaching programs and 4-H events
* Composes and types correspondence for County Agents. Prepares press releases and professional marketing pieces.
* Coordinates and sets up educational meetings/programs including notification of events, advertisement, registration, equipment and contacting caterer if required.
* Maintains and updates all publications, educational data, administrative central file data and departmental filing system.
* Prepares county and department forms for travel and monthly achievement reports. Prepares and collects support material and data for agents.
* Serves as liaison between the department and citizens, public officials, state and district office personnel and federal agencies.
* Conducts educational research which includes central files, extension and university based data both in print and website.
* Prepares reports used in collecting data for state information including monthly TAMED input, 4-H enrollments, and records.
* Responds to telephone inquiries and provides assistance to walk-in clientele
* Maintains calendars for county agents; schedules department meeting rooms.
* Works with volunteers, committees, managers and leaders to promote and coordinator education opportunities for Extension clientele.
* Participates in activities and duties related to emergency management during a local state of disaster as directed by appropriate county managers.
MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS:
* High School Diploma/GED. 2 years technical school and/or specialized training in business or marketing preferred.
* 2 years job related experience.
* Use of Canva design platform; excellent computer and typing skills (minimum of 35 WPM).
* Accounting/bookkeeping skills.
* Strong organizational skills and ability to complete assigned tasks within tight deadlines.
* Verbal and written communication skills; ability to interact and deal effectively with other employees, the public and public officials.
STARTING SALARY RANGE: $16.02 - $20.03 hourly based on qualifications
