Our client, a leader in the steel manufacturing industry, is seeking a Quality Engineer to join their team. As a Quality Engineer, you will be part of the Quality Assurance department supporting various operational units. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, a keen eye for detail, and a proactive approach to problem-solving, which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Quality Engineer

Location:Beaumont, Texas

Pay Range: $90,000 - $115,000 + Bonus

What's the Job?

• Ensure compliance with Safety, Environmental, and Quality requirements.
• Verify laboratory equipment and support laboratory functions as needed.
• Assist in identifying and rating product defects to ensure customer satisfaction.
• Conduct investigations of non-conformances and recommend corrective actions.
• Support the Quality Assurance Manager with site and customer needs.

What's Needed?

• 3-5 years of experience in Quality Assurance, preferably in a steel mill environment.
• Degree in Metallurgy, Materials Science, Chemical Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
• Knowledge of SPC techniques and Quality System requirements.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills at all levels of the organization.
• Experience with Electric Arc Furnace and Heavy Mill Machinery is a plus.
