At Restek, a leader in chromatography, we are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Operations Technician to join our Shipping and Receiving team. In this role, you will play a critical part in ensuring the efficient flow of materials within our organization. Your responsibilities will include receiving, verifying, and stocking incoming products, managing inventory transactions in our ERP system, and fulfilling requisitions for other departments. The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to accuracy, organizational skills, and the ability to work safely with warehouse equipment. This position generally follows a Monday through Friday schedule, 8:30 am - 5:00 pm or 9:00 am - 5:30 pm, with some flexibility in hours to accommodate individual needs.Key Responsibilities
- Receive and Verify Incoming Products: Unpack, inspect, and verify incoming materials, ensuring accuracy and quality, with special attention to lot and serial-controlled products.
- Perform ERP Transactions: Accurately complete all Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) transactions related to material receipts to maintain up-to-date inventory records.
- Stock Materials in Warehouse: Organize and store products in designated warehouse locations following inventory management procedures and optimizing space and accessibility.
- Fulfill Departmental Requisitions: Process and prepare material requisitions for internal departments, coordinating timely and accurate delivery of needed supplies.
- Obtain Equipment Certification: Complete required training and certification for operating warehouse equipment, including forklifts and other machinery essential for daily operations.
Physical Requirements:
- Work Duration: Standing or sitting 8-10 hours per shift with occasional breaks.
- Physical Activities: Lifting, reaching, pulling, fingering, pinching, grasping, typing, repetitive motion.
- Lifting: Regularly lift up to 40 lbs
- Exposure: Work environment may include fumes, odors, dust, or gases.
Qualifications:Minimum of high school diploma or GED. Preferably 2 years of specialized training in a science-related technology or relevant experience. Previous manufacturing experience a plus.
- Technical Skills: Basic problem-solving using math and scientific principles. Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite and basic ERP systems is preferred.
