National Aviation Services is searching for an experienced Director of Operations to drive and support our business operations. The Director of Operations will be supporting various staff members in the aircraft and facility janitorial industry across multiple key states in the US Southeast Region. The successful candidate will be knowledgeable in the facilities services industry, driven to meet and exceed client expectations, possess strong leadership skills, and present a strong sense of business acumen and integrity. This role reports to the VP of Operations. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Operational Leadership: Provide strategic direction and leadership to achieve operational excellence.
- Team Management: Recruit, train, and develop a high-performing team of managers, supervisors, and frontline staff for your assigned region. Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
- Responsible for ensuring that all direct reports receive yearly performance evaluations that include a written evaluation of assigned responsibilities; Safe work practices and performance of any function are essential to the efficiency of each station.
- Excellent communication skills are mandatory as communication plays a very high role in this position.
- Weekly Team Conference Calls with Station Managers in your assigned Region is required. Outline of the call will be set by Corporate Leadership.
- Responsible for monitoring productivity and meeting all required NAS and Customer standards for all provided services within your assigned region.
- Client Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with airport authorities and customers to understand their needs and ensure service delivery exceeds expectations.
- Frequent communication with the customer leaders via email, phone calls, and/or station visits is required.
- Each director is required visit each assigned city within your region a minimum of two times each quarter. Each Station visit must include a time slot for meeting with the on-site local customer contact to ensure any feedback, questions, or concerns are addressed immediately. Specific travel schedules will be provided by the VP of Operations.
- Quality Assurance: Maintain rigorous quality assurance processes to ensure compliance with industry standards, regulations, and customer requirements.
- Safety and Compliance: Ensure strict adherence to safety protocols and regulatory requirements in all operations. Identify and mitigate risks to prevent accidents and incidents.
- A firm knowledge and enforcement of all the NAS Company policies and procedures, as well as all of the NAS Safety and Security policies and procedures is required and mandatory. Dictation of, adherence to and following of each procedure is required.
- A firm and clear knowledge of the entire operation of your assigned region including scheduling, GSE, safety, supplies, and employee relations is a must.
- Familiarity of the entire customer fleet with a thorough knowledge of all functions of all Aircraft and Building Maintenance is a must; Knowledge of different Aircraft types is necessary.
- Must adhere to all FAA, OSHA, EEOC, DOL, State and Local Compliance requirements.
- Financial Management: Manage station budgets, forecasts, and financial plans to achieve profitability targets while maintaining service quality and customer satisfaction.
- Obtains and reviews price quotes for the procurement of parts, services, and labor for projects.
- Expands business revenue by pursuing new accounts or expanding current accounts.
- Train Station Managers to ensure a thorough understanding of the budget, daily report, P&L, and quarterly targets.
- Monitor industry trends and market dynamics to identify opportunities for business growth and expansion in assigned locations.
- Monitor spending in assigned location - Labor and overtime management, COGS, equipment and repair expenses, etc.
- Performance Monitoring and Reporting: Monitor established KPIs and performance metrics to measure operational efficiency, service quality, and customer satisfaction. Provide regular reports and updates to senior leaders on each assigned location.
- Performance Monitoring and Reporting: This position requires weekly travel to assigned locations.

- Continuous Improvement: Drive initiatives to optimize processes, enhance productivity, and streamline operations. Implement best practices and innovative solutions to deliver superior service and value to our customers.

- High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required. Associate degree or bachelor's degree preferred with focus on business, technical or management areas.
- Minimum 5 years of proven aircraft and/or facilities services operations experience, ideally at the Director level.
- Proven experience building and maintaining relationships with key clients.
- Previous experience growing revenue through the acquisition of new accounts and the expansion of current accounts.
- Proficiency in all Microsoft Office applications.
- Ability to travel weekly to meet with station leadership, employees, and clients and support business operations across multiple states in the US Southeast Region.
- Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and decision-making skills.
- Valid Driver's License.

- Understanding of company financial reports, including the P&L, Labor Management dashboards, forecasts, and budgets.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities effectively.
