Flow machines (pumps, fans, compressors) are one of the largest consumers of energy on the planet and account for approximately 35% of global electricity consumption. ITT Inc. is developing innovative technologies in electric motors, power electronics and smart connected devices that reduce energy of flow machines as much as 50%. Be a part of a founding team on this new EMD initiative where there will be opportunities to grow into key leadership positions.

WORK SCHEDULE: To begin, this role will be full in office until the candidate is up to speed. In time, as candidate becomes technically sound, and builds client relationships internally and externally, the position can move to a hybrid role with mixed days in office and home.

Essential Responsibilities

The Product Electrical Engineer position is responsible for facilitating the process of accepting a clients RFQ, transitioning to a proposal and ultimately to an award with an order acceptance. Development of Client and BDM relationships to aid in the best most efficient collaboration to help our buyers with their needs.

The Application Engineer will have intimate knowledge and understanding of the EMD unit, and clients pump, Fan, and electrical system and process. Working with electrical and mechanical prints and diagrams, pictures, video, and possible on-site visits, formulate the best strategy to implement the EMD into the heart of a client industrial process.

Essential Responsibilities

* Build relationships internally and externally

* Develop and maintain client relationships

* Coordinate and assist BDM in the successful implementation of client pilots

* Provide, use, and house documents for Theory of operation, start-up, and commissioning of pilots

* Travel to client sites and tradeshows as needed to win new business

* Assist product and marketing teams in developing marketing content

* Be the eyes and ears of the facility to aid BDM in internal knowledge gathering

* Aid on project management functions

Position Requirements

Position Requirements:

* S./M.S. degree, in engineering, business or experience in related field

* 5+ years in Application Engineering role

* Demonstrated ability to sell to industrial customers.

* Familiarity with the industrial markets, electric motors, and variable frequency drives

* Familiar with how Fans, Pumps, Electric Motors, and VFD' work in industries

* Understanding of Electrical and Mechanical Engineering

* Experience with creating basic CAD wiring diagrams

* Excellent verbal and written communication skills

The salary offered to a candidate is based several factors such as candidate experience and qualifications, location, as well as market and business considerations.

Equal Pay Act Range

Annual Salary Range is $84,400.00 to $126,400, plus benefits and incentive plans.
