We are seeking a skilled professional to support and manage the operations network, including script development, device configuration, system administration, hardware and software support, maintenance, security, and troubleshooting. This role involves solution design, development, integration, and enhancements to align with business needs and project requirements. Additionally, the position includes documenting operational procedures and providing end-user support.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitor network performance to ensure system availability, reliability, and optimal operation.
  • Configure, install, and manage various network devices and services (e.g., routers, switches, firewalls, load balancers, VPN, QoS).
  • Perform moderate to complex network maintenance, including service packs, patches, hot fixes, and security configurations.
  • Ensure system resource utilization, trending, and capacity planning are effectively monitored.
  • Provide Level-2 support and troubleshooting to resolve complex network issues.
  • Work within established configuration and change management policies, ensuring proper approval and successful implementation of changes to the network infrastructure.
  • Collaborate with the security team to select and implement security tools, policies, and procedures, exercising independent judgment when appropriate.
  • Liaise with vendors and other IT teams for issue resolution and continuous improvement.

Required Skills and Experience:

  • Demonstrated associate-level experience in Network Engineering.
  • Familiarity with networking protocols (e.g., IPSEC, HSRP, BGP, OSPF, 802.11, QoS).
  • Strong knowledge of the OSI and TCP/IP models.
  • Hands-on experience with network monitoring, diagnostics, and analytics tools.
  • Experience working with cloud environments.
  • Proven experience as a Network Administrator supporting critical systems and delivering technical solutions.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in supporting utility construction and maintenance.
  • Associate-level networking certifications (e.g., CCNA, F5 CA, VMware VCA).

Minimum Education:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Business Computer Systems, Management Information Systems, or a related field from an accredited institution; OR equivalent experience in network engineering and system management.
