The Oregon State Police in Salem, Oregon is hiring for one (1) Full-Time, Permanent Office Specialist 2 position.

The salary listed is the non-PERS (Public Employee Retirement System) qualifying salary range. Prior to applying you should ensure all sections of your Workday Job History page is accurate and complete. This information is utilized during the pay equity analysis phase.

Summary of Job Duties:

You will provide administrative, operational and program support to the Agency Services Division, primarily to the Payroll and HR Departments. You will be responsible for knowing the expectations of the office and work independently with little to no supervision to fulfill those expectations with a high level of accuracy and within timelines.

Minimum Qualifications/Eligibility Requirements:

Three years of secretarial or administrative support experience that includes coordinating office procedures, preparing narrative and statistical reports, and administrative data collection and analysis;

OR

Two years of general clerical experience that includes keyboarding, word processing, or other experience generating documents;

OR

An associate degree in any field;

OR

An equivalent combination of education and experience.

Preferred Skills:

* Customer Service & Communication: Ability to collaborate with diverse individuals, answer calls, screen, and route inquiries, and gather customer information to determine service needs, ensuring high-quality support and communication.

* Adaptability & Task Management: Skilled at quickly switching between tasks to maintain superior customer service, with the ability to manage multiple responsibilities efficiently in a dynamic environment.

* Confidentiality & Data Management: Experience handling confidential information with care, including performing repetitive data entry, scanning, and organizing electronic files to maintain data integrity and security.

* Email & Information Routing: Proficient in managing and tracking shared email inboxes, routing messages effectively, and coordinating communication to ensure timely responses.

* Technical Skills & Office Software: Intermediate knowledge of Excel, with experience in scanning, creating electronic files, and handling office software tools to streamline workflow and data management.
