Reporting directly to the Site Manager, you will assist in coordinating and supervising the janitorial staff, ensuring that cleaning standards are met, and client expectations are exceeded. This role requires strong leadership skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively with team members.Key Responsibilities:
- Assist Site Manager: Work closely with the Site Manager to ensure the smooth operation of janitorial services at the designated site(s).
- Staff Supervision: Supervise janitorial staff, providing guidance, training, and support as needed. Monitor employee performance and conduct regular evaluations.
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness and hygiene at the site(s). Conduct regular inspections to ensure compliance with cleaning protocols and client specifications.
- Inventory Management: Assist in managing inventory levels of cleaning supplies and equipment. Coordinate orders and replenishments as necessary.
- Scheduling: Assist in developing and maintaining cleaning schedules for staff, ensuring adequate coverage at all times. Adjust schedules as needed to accommodate client needs or special projects.
- Safety Compliance: Ensure that all janitorial staff adhere to safety protocols and procedures. Conduct regular safety meetings and training sessions.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate records of cleaning activities, employee attendance, and any incidents that occur at the site(s). Prepare reports as required by management.
- Team Collaboration: Foster a positive and collaborative work environment among janitorial staff. Encourage teamwork, communication, and mutual respect.
- Perform any and all essential cleaning functions.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a supervisory role within the janitorial or facilities management industry preferred.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop team members.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Knowledge of cleaning techniques, equipment, and products.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to quality service.
- Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
