We are adding to our team, and are seeking a Purchase Order Clerk to join our corporate headquarters in Bowling Green, Kentucky. The Purchase Order (P.O.) Clerk plays an integral role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operations of procurement functions at Bluegrass Ingredients. The PO Clerk is an onsite position, and will be responsible for managing and processing purchase orders and related documentation to support Bluegrass Ingredients Operations. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented professional looking to support effective procurement processes, and will work closely with Accounts Payable and other departments to assist with filling our internal inventory needs, and reconciling the pricing of all raw materials, products, and/or supplies that are needed to operate smooth and efficiently. Primary Responsibilities Include But Not Limited To:
- Negotiating price of raw materials, products, or supplies.
- Creating purchase orders, tracking incoming orders and reconciling inventory counts.
- Research vendors and collects prices, specifications, and other data related to goods and services.
- Establishes and maintains recordkeeping system for Purchasing Department.
Required Competencies & Skills:
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to multitask.
- Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
- Ability to learn and follow purchasing procedures and policies.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
Education and Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- At least two years of clerical or administrative support experience. Experience in purchasing, procurement or similar role preferred.
