As an Environmental Engineer, you will implement and support environmental programs that allow you to collaborate with a diverse group of professionals to manage environmental compliance and conformance. We are currently looking for talented individuals who have a passion for the environment and who want to assist making Ultium Cells a leader in environmental compliance and sustainability.Starting at $77,000 per year and up based on experience. Responsibilities:
- Grow to understand the plant manufacturing systems including production processes
- Comprehend and interpret regulations and guidelines
- Obtain, update, and maintain plans, permits, and standard operating procedures that minimize operational impacts on the environment
- Analyze scientific data and perform quality control checks to quantify an activity's potential impact on the environment
- Develop working relationships and communicate effectively with team members of all staffing levels including associates, operators, and plant leadership
- Inspect and evaluate projects or processes to ensure compliance with environmental legal regulations
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree with a major in Environmental or Chemical engineering or related sciences preferred.
- Proficient in Air Permitting, Storm Water Permitting, Wastewater Permitting and/or Large Quantity Hazardous Waste Generator Requirements
- The ideal candidate will have 2 to 5 years of direct environmental experience in SWPPP, SPCC, wastewater, Title V air compliance or RCRA hazardous waste experience.
- Experience in environmental engineering or related science, preferably at a manufacturing operation.
- Previous experience inspecting and evaluating processes to ensure compliance with environmental legal regulations
- Technical reporting and presentation on environmental engineering projects
