Job Description :
Position Title: Homebound Instructor Status: Part TimePay Range: Starts at $40.00 per hour, with the potential for higher rates depending on work experience.Experience: Candidates must hold a valid New Jersey Middle School and/or High School Teaching Certification and have proven experience working with students at these grade levels.Position Summary: The Homebound Instructor provides in-home, in-community, and virtual instruction to multiple school districts in Medford County, New Jersey. The homebound instructor will implement one-to-one individualized instruction with students. Job Responsibilities:
  • Plan instruction that follows the district-approved curriculum for the assigned grade level and subject area.
  • Plan instruction consistent with the Individualized Education Program (IEP), where applicable.
  • Assess student abilities and needs using both formal and informal methods.
  • Develop teaching methods that are appropriate for the learning objectives and the individual needs of the students.
  • Monitor student progress and adjust instruction accordingly.
  • Communicate effectively with parents/guardians, the school district, and the program coordinator regarding the student's progress
  • Maintain accurate records of student attendance and progress.
  • Education, Experience and Requirements:
  • Bachelors degree in applicable field(psychology, social work, education, special education) required.
  • Must be willing and able to complete background checks required per New Jersey law.
  • Must have an active NJ Standard Teaching Certification or NJ Special Education Certification
  • Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English.
  • Must possess interpersonal skills to establish and maintain effective relationships with children and parents/guardians.
  • Must display a professional attitude.
  • Must possess the ability to be physically mobile, with or without reasonable accommodation, so that the requirements of the position can be fully met.
  • Must be able to physically assist with evacuating children during emergency situations.
