Nature of Work
Wildlife/South Charleston HQ Under the administrative direction of the Assistant Chief of Operations, employee duties will include development, oversight, and/or administration of the Wildlife Resources Section in the following program areas: budgets; procurement; contract administration; coordination with West Virginia University on cooperative agreements; equipment replacement plans; employee uniform program; fleet management; fixed asset management; preparation of financial and business reports for internal and external use; development of computer applications for administrative tracking needs. Employee will supervise all clerical, technical, and professional staff in the Wildlife Resources Accounting Subunit. Employee will serve as the Fiscal Coordinator of the Wildlife and Sport FishRestoration federal grant program. Employee is responsible for ensuring Wildlife Resources Section compliance to all federal laws, regulations, and policies as related to cost accounting standards, eligible costs, and audits. Duties as Federal Aid Fiscal Coordinator will also include serving as a point of contact for fiscal issues during federal audits. Employee will coordinate with the DNR Administration Section of the Division of Natural Resources on the following administrative functions: internal audits; purchasing card program; fiscal notes; purchasing; accounts payable; property inventory; risk and insurance management; all special projects and related work as required. Minimum Qualifications
Training:Graduation from a regionally accredited college or university with a degree in the area of assignment.
Substitution:Experience as described below may substitute for the training requirement on a year-for-year basis.
Experience:Five years of full-time or equivalent part-time paid administrative or supervisory experience in the area of assignment.
Special Requirement:A valid driver's license may be required.

Other Information
Preference will be given to those applicants with a demonstrated knowledge in WV state government accounting procedures, Wildlife Resources Section programs, federal grant program requirements, and those who have an extensive supervisory/management experience.
