This role is responsible for the daily management of the College's bank accounts, including reviewing cash activity and reporting both book and bank balances to Senior Management. Additionally, the position involves monthly account reconciliations and providing support to the Business Office in tasks that strengthen the College's fiscal oversight and reporting processes. The work is carried out under the general supervision, with some autonomy to exercise independent judgment within the framework of established College policies.

Requirements:

Education Required: Bachelor' degree or higher

Experience Required: A minimum of three (3) years of experience in public or municipal accounting or experience with internal audits or an equivalent combination.

Preferred Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Worker Characteristics:

* Proficient in Microsoft Suite, specifically Excel and Word.

* Excellent verbal/written communication and analytical skills.

* Project management experience.

* Community college or higher education experience.

* Ability to effectively establish and maintain working relationships with supervising personnel, coworkers, all constituents and the public.

* Perform well under pressure, within time constraints, with a high degree of accuracy, diplomacy and confidentiality.

* Ability to coordinate work flow while dealing with multiple projects and deadlines.

* Ability to present complex information and data in coherent fashion.

* Must be able to travel between the college's two campuses and other sites.

* Bilingual Skills

Salary: $47,500 - 62,816 per annum; commensurate with experience. This is a Staff & Chair, Grade 40, 12 month position.
