Hourly Wage $25.25Key Responsibilities:
- Troubleshooting/repair of electrical, I&C, pneumatic, AC/DC power and drive systems. (Low, Medium, and High Voltage)
- Diagnose and resolve complex electrical issues using advanced troubleshooting techniques.
- Read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, wiring diagrams, and control logic sequences.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and inspections.
- Install, evaluate, and maintain electrical systems and equipment, including but not limited to motors, generators, transformers, lighting, and control systems.
- Troubleshoot and repair electrical faults and malfunctions in machinery, equipment, and plant systems.
- Experience with several types of electrical equipment and control systems, including PLCs and VFDs.
- Promoting and enforcing company safety requirements.
- Managing housekeeping expectations for all work assignments.
- Creating and maintaining electrical/power/I&C procedures, specifications, manuals, and documentation.
- Conducting daily activities in a manner that promotes plant reliability and productivity.
- Performing duties by all company policies, procedures, and standards of quality.
- Comfortable with numbers and basic calculations.
- Supervising short-term contractor and service work by external parties.
- Technical support of procurement and material/service orders.
Professional Experience:Position Requirements:
- Associate degree in electrical technology, Controls & Automation, or equivalent work experience.
- Two years experience in production plant equipment maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs.
- Strong electrical aptitude with the ability to read/interpret schematics, blueprints, instruction manuals, OEM drawings, wiring diagrams and control logic sequences.
- Maintenance and diagnostic experience with Allen-Bradley PLC-based automation systems.
- Strong work ethic and the ability to mentor team members.
- Ability to work independently and with minimal supervision.
- Availability to work shift schedules, overtime, nights, holidays, and weekends, plus respond to occasional off-hours callouts to ensure plant reliability of operations.
Additional Qualifications:
- Exposure to mechanical systems and equipment/components.
- Personal computer skills with working knowledge of Microsoft Office software programs.

- Comfortable working at heights and in various environmental conditions.
Education and specialized skills profile:
- Minimum high school diploma or equivalent.
- Two-year degree in mechanical or electrical technology preferred.
- Five years work experience preferred.
- Basic Computer skills to be able to use programs for work order and parts management.
Environment and Behavioral profile:
- Exposure to extreme temperatures, high noise levels, and dust, which may affect health and safety.
- The Electrician must be able to complete daily tasks under little to no supervision and should have the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment, making decisions quickly with clear communication.
Linguistic Profile:
- The Maintenance Department embraces the diversity of languages, but most, if not all, communication verbally and written is preferred in English to successfully complete the appropriate scope of work.
Mobility and Physical Requirement profile:
- Work location is Barnwell, SC and operates in a manufacturing environment.
- Be expected to stand for a full shift. Employee will be required to perform climbing stairs, walking, squatting, kneeling, or driving lift truck duties at variable frequency.
- There is occasional lifting that may require handling of components which can weigh up to 50 lbs.
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to sit and walk and talk or hear; use hands and finger, handle or operate objects, tools, or controls; and reach with hands and arms.
- The employee must occasionally climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl.
- Specific vision abilities required by this position include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
- The employee occasionally works near moving mechanical parts in high, precarious places and is occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, ambient air, temperature extremes, combustible dust fumes or airborne particles, traffic, toxic or caustic chemicals, risk of electrical shock, and vibration.
- The schedule is a rotating schedule, 12 hours per shift, 14 shifts in 28 days, days, nights, and weekends.

- External: Vendors, Suppliers, Service Contractors, and other Krono Swiss Plants.
