We are currently recruiting for the position of: Infrastructure Operations Manager- Modesto/Dublin, CAJob Summary:The Infrastructure Operations Manager oversees our offshore Network Operations Center (NOC) and daily infrastructure operations. This position plays a pivotal role in ensuring operational efficiency, managing infrastructure projects, tracking budgets, and maintaining high system availability. Reporting directly to the Sr. Director of Enterprise IT, the role demands strong coordination, organizational skills, and a solid technical background in IT Infrastructure.This position requires extensive experience with monitoring tools such as Zabbix, SolarWinds, Nagios, and JIRA. This role involves managing offshore resources, expanding monitoring capabilities to cover business processes, and supporting company growth initiatives. Hands-on expertise with monitoring tools in a retail enterprise and managing remote teams is critical. This is a Technical Operations Manager role, not a project management position, and requires a strategic mindset to drive the adoption and roadmap of monitoring tools.Responsibilities:
- NOC Management:
- Oversee offshore 24x7 NOC operations, ensuring adherence to SLAs, incident response times, and performance metrics
- Act as the primary liaison between onshore and offshore teams to facilitate smooth communication and effective issue resolution
- Monitor and optimize NOC service delivery in alignment with the Statement of Work (SOW)
- Infrastructure Operations:
- Support daily operations of servers, storage, networking, and cloud infrastructure to ensure high availability, performance, and reliability
- Coordinate upgrades, maintenance, and patches with minimal downtime, adhering to strict security standards
- Monitoring Tools & Strategic Initiatives
- Lead the expansion and strategic adoption of monitoring tools across the enterprise to support both technical and business processes
- Maintain hands-on proficiency with tools like Zabbix, SolarWinds, and Nagios to ensure comprehensive coverage and system reliability
- Incident and Problem Management
- Drive the resolution of critical incidents, conduct root cause analyses, and implement preventative measures
- Ensure operational issues are documented, escalated, and resolved effectively
- Process Optimization
- Identify opportunities to enhance operational processes and automate repetitive tasks
- Develop and maintain operational documentation, including Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), failover plans, and escalation workflows
- Budget and Resource Management
- Track the IT infrastructure budget to ensure cost efficiency without compromising service quality
- Identify opportunities for operational cost reductions while maintaining optimal performance
