Job Description BAE Systems is looking for an Electrical, Software, Computer Science or Mechanical Engineer to work directly with our transit customers to resolve series hybrid propulsion system issues and provide factory to customer support in a timely manner. Our Smart Energy Technology propels Hybrid Electric and Full EV city transit buses across the world. We are looking for an individual who has a technical background, and a passion for working with our customers to identify and resolve any open concerns.

Based in Endicott, NY but will travel to customer sites approximately between 25% and 50% of the time.

Our growing business is located in the Greater Binghamton area which is home to several sports teams, shopping centers, a growing downtown, the State University of New York at Binghamton, several large healthcare employers and some of New York's top-ranked school districts. The area enjoys a rich heritage with multiple diverse communities with local cuisine and festival celebrations. From the area to an hour out there is access to hiking, skiing, lakes, waterparks, casinos, golfing, camping and vineyards. * Responsible for assisting Regional Service Leads in North America

* Support new bus delivery and transition of new customers into BAE Systems Customer Service and Support Network

* Provide technical guidance and service engineering support to customers and technicians.

* Responsible for BAE Systems Factory to Customer Communication and coordination with vehicle OEM leads

* Monitor fleet availability metrics, failure rates, and trends for the region

* Communicate reliability issues to the BAE Systems Product Support Team and support failure investigations.

* Develop customer focused solutions for issues that arise that support both Customer and BAE Systems Product Support objectives

* Maintain and Execute against a Customer Issues List and support Monthly Customer status reviews

* Coordinate and Execute Product Improvement or Retrofit Programs

Required Education, Experience, & Skills Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Electrical, Software or Mechanical Engineering

* Technical writing skills: capable of creating required engineering documentation.

* Capable of performing integration and verification testing of both electrical/mechanical equipment and software.

Capable of working directly with our customers and external technicians while representing BAE as an expert.

* US Citizenship is a requirement.Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills

* Experience in vehicle or electronic control related development including familiarity with SAE J1939 interfaces and CAN communication.

* Experience with development of customer requirements.

* Experience with vehicle diagnostic equipment and procedures.

* Working knowledge Matlab Simulink.

* Master's Degree in Engineering or Business

Familiarity with Agile Software or Hardware Development Teams.

Pay Information

Full-Time Salary Range: $56200 - $95500

Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
