Posting Summary
Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey, is seeking a Unit Accommodation Assistant for the Access and Disability Resources. This position will assist all unit administrators, to coordinate approved accommodations, provide organizational support, and to assist in training Senior Accommodation Assistants.
Among the key duties of this position are the following:
* Coordinates services and creates accessible course materials for students with disabilities.
* Trains Accommodation Assistants and Senior Accommodations Assistants in their roles related to creating and coordinating accessible course materials.
* Assists with hiring, onboarding, and training of new staff.
* Responsible for the oversight of and delegation of work to Accommodation Assistants and/or Senior Accommodation Assistants.
* Responsible for downloading, reviewing, and organizing course documents.
* Tracks assignments in workflow database.
* Coordinates with faculty, staff and departments gain access to course materials and other documents necessary to support the accommodation process.
* Works with vendors to coordinate services.
* Assists Unit Administrators with reporting issues or concerns and special tasks as assigned.
* Works with Unit Administrators to ensure quality assurance.

Qualifications
Minimum Education and Experience
* Bachelor's degree in a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and/or experience.
Certifications/Licenses Preferred Qualifications
Experience working in disability services or studies in counseling, student support, education or health related fields. Experience using project management or workflow systems (i.e. Asana, Coda, Microsoft Project).
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
* Ability to work efficiently and effectively in a fast-paced environment.
* Excellent communication skills: listening, oral and written.
* Customer service skills.
* Microsoft Office software working skills.
