SSAB offers challenging careers and comprehensive benefit program designed to keep employees and their families healthy and secure.Technical Administrative Assistant - TemporaryAbout the PositionAs a Temporary Technical Administrative Assistant, you will coordinate testing of steel products, order new tests and/or review as required, enter test data, generate reports, and release products for shipping once all quality requirements are satisfied. Employment will be through a staffing agency.Main Responsibilities
- Coordinate testing of steel products
- Order additional testing and/or review by Metallurgists, Shipping, or Planning
- Communicate with testing labs
- Track materials and orders requiring 3rd party testing and report any delays
- Enter data and generate statistical and other reports
- Cross train to provide coverage for technical administrative assistants in other areas
- Perform work safely and in accordance with all safety policies and procedures
About You
- Advanced written and verbal communication skills
- Organized, multitasker with strong attention to detail
- Ability to perform data entry with a high degree of accuracy
- Ability to work well with other team members and departments
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (MES experience helpful)
- 1 year of relevant experience, preferably in quality assurance, steel production, shipping, or logistics
- High School Diploma or equivalent (Associate's degree preferred)
