Job Overview:
This role involves overseeing a team while supporting month-end close processes, managing cash flow, reconciling accounts, and preparing financial reports. You'll guide your team in meeting deadlines, assist with reporting for leadership and auditors, contribute to analytical insights, and support daily accounting tasks. Additional responsibilities include managing ad hoc projects as needed.
Essential Functions/Job Duties:
* Participate in month-end close and ensure compliance to monthly close schedule
* Reconcile and maintain balance sheet accounts
* Responsible for cash management for both retail and wholesale (A/R)
* Perform or review detailed account reconciliation
* Prepare journal entries and weekly/monthly financial reports
* Prepare or assist in the preparation of reports for the Board of Directors, Executive
Management, and auditors
* Manages multiple reporting requirements and ensure deadlines are met
* Assist in developing and preparing analytical and statistical reports to support
management decision making
* Assist in day-to-day accounting functions
* Ad hoc projects/duties as assigned
Minimal Qualifications:
* 4+ years of experience in relevant accounting experience (AP & AR)
* Proficiency in general ledger accounting with a strong knowledge of accounting reconciliation, month-end close, and year-end close?.
* 4+ years of experience in excel
* 2+ years of prior supervisory experience
Education Requirements:
* Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field required
Physical Requirements:
* Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards, including meeting qualitative and/or quantitative productivity standards.
* Ability to maintain regular, punctual attendance consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards.
