FLSA:Non-ExemptQUALIFICATIONS: High school diploma Business school training or office experience that reflects a high level of skill in typing, filing and general office procedures Communication skills which encompass the ability to relate to students andadults and to speak and write standard EnglishREPORTS TO:Assigned evaluatorSUPERVISES:NoneJOB GOAL:To efficiently perform all duties related to the operation and maintenance ofcorrect office procedureTERM:Ten (10) monthsSALARY:Head Start Clerk Salary SchedulePERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:1. To follow the general bookkeeping regulations as established by the Rapides Parish SchoolBoard.2. To consistently maintain a neat, clean, and well organized work space.3. To utilize standard office procedures in letter writing, filing and bookkeeping.4. To employ professional telephone techniques.5. To demonstrate sociability and warmth in attitude toward visitors and employees.6. To maintain a desk calendar as it relates to due dates of work projects, memos, and reports.7. To be neat and accurate in completing assigned records and reports, turning these in promptly and on time.8. To follow federal, state, and local policies and procedures.9. To use language that is void of vulgarity, lewdness, coarseness, or profanity.10. To observe all policies and regulations as outlined in the Drug Free Workplace Act.11. To demonstrate ability to adjust to new situations, showing poise in crisis or pressure situations, and mature understanding of problems.12. To be in attendance and on time at work, except for personal illness or emergency, as defined by the policies of the Rapides Parish School Board.13. To be professionally dressed and well groomed.14. To maintain a schedule of systems and procedures that are reflective of good timemanagement.15. To perform any other duties assigned by the evaluator.
