This role involves managing staff, coordinating patient care, handling administrative tasks, and ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations. Responsibilities include scheduling, customer service, data entry, documentation, medical records management, referrals, and assisting with the specific needs of Student Health Services.Primary Duties:• Manage a healthcare administrative team• Oversee day-to-day operations of Patient Support Services including scheduling, patient flow and insurance verification.• Maintain and implement patient support policies and procedures including monitoring access and use of protected health information (PHI)Perks:• Benefits you will not find elsewhere! Preferred Qualifications Bachelor's degree and 5 years related experience in health information management, healthcare administration, business management, public administration or administrative services. Experience working in a fast-paced health care environment. Willing to maintain a flexible work schedule as needed and adjust positively to the rapid changes in healthcare. Experience working within a college healthcare setting. Member of AHIMA or certification in a medical office administrator program. Additional Comments Familiarity with medical terminology and healthcare. Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities. Proficiency in electronic health records (EHR) systems and office software. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Strong knowledge of medical office procedures, including dissemination of Medical health records, billing, coding, insurance. Excellent organizational and time management skills. Strong leadership and communication skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. May require occasional evening or weekend hours.
