PositionCareer Readiness Institute Coach Division: Institutional AdvancementDepartment: Career Readiness Institute Reports to:Associate Vice President of the Career Readiness InstitutePosition SummaryThe Career Readiness Institute (CRI) Coach plays a pivotal role in empowering students for successful careers and guiding them through various aspects of professional development. As a crucial member of our team, the Coach will assist in designing and implementing co-curricular activities, workshops, and resources that enhance students' graduate school preparedness, career readiness, and employability while fostering student engagement.Essential Duties & ResponsibilitiesThe results you will deliver each day that matter most!
Career and Graduate School Counseling: Conduct personalized career and graduate school counseling sessions with students to assess their interests, strengths, and professional and academic aspirations. Provide expert guidance on resume building, interview preparation, and job and graduate school search strategies. Job Placement Support: Assist students in identifying suitable internship and job opportunities, connecting them with potential employers, and providing resources to enhance their employability. Student Engagement: Assist in developing creative outreach initiatives, promote the value of participation, monitor engagement, and collect feedback. Employer Engagement: Assist in cultivating and maintaining strong relationships with local employers, industry professionals, and alumni to facilitate internship and job placement opportunities for students.Data Management: Maintain accurate records of student interactions, career outcomes, and program effectiveness. Events Coordination: Assist in planning and executing career and graduate school fairs, networking events, and on-campus recruitment activities. Assist with administrative and other duties as needed.Education/ ExperienceWhat you will need to be successful!A bachelor's degree.Proven experience in career and graduate school coaching.Demonstrated competency with Microsoft Office Suite and educational learning platforms.
