- Flexible Schedule: This is a weekly over the road (OTR) job that allows you to be home on weekends.
- Hauling Oversized Loads: Safely transport oversized and overweight loads while adhering to state and federal regulations, securing necessary permits as required.
- Operating a Winch Truck: Utilize winch truck equipment to load and unload various materials and equipment efficiently and safely.
- Loading and Unloading: Efficiently load, drive, and unload equipment and materials, ensuring their safe handling and transit.
- Load Securement: Properly secure loads using chains and straps to ensure safe transportation and compliance during transit.
- Route Planning: Plan and navigate delivery routes that include tight spaces, ensuring all vehicles can access delivery points without incident.
- Safety Compliance: Follow all company and OSHA safety policies and procedures, ensuring a clean and safe working environment.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate documentation, including DOT logs, permits, and delivery records to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Equipment Maintenance: Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles, reporting any maintenance or repair needs promptly.
- Collaboration: Work closely with management and field personnel to coordinate tasks and ensure efficient operations.
- Customer Interaction: Maintain a positive and professional demeanor in all interactions with customers and colleagues.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) required.
- Minimum of 2 years of truck driving experience, with a focus on hauling oversized or overweight loads preferred.
- Experience operating a winch truck is highly desirable.
- Strong understanding of DOT regulations and experience managing permits for various loads.
- Ability to navigate tight spaces and execute precise maneuvers in various delivery scenarios.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt to changing circumstances.
