The goal of Supported Employment services is sustained, paid, integrated employment at or above the minimum wage in the general workforce, in a job that meets the individual's personal and career goals. This includes career discovery and development, job placement, and/or career coaching. An Employment Specialist will work with individuals to identify their personal interests, preferences and needs through person-centered exploration. Services offered include assistance in resume-writing, completing job applications, and interview preparation. As needed, the Employment Specialist may accompany the individual to an interview. This is a person-centered career planning service that allows individuals with disabilities to cultivate and realize their dreams. An Employment Specialist may provide limited Job Coaching supports ensuring job satisfaction, confidence and independence in their workplace.QUALIFICATIONS AND ATTRIBUTES:+ Conduct job preparation, job search and development activities to assist individuals in obtaining skills and/or employment+ Provide self-advocacy, benefits counseling, work readiness, work experience development+ Provide individualized follow along supports to assist them in maintaining employment+ Negotiate job accommodations as needed and work collaboratively with team members to achieve employment or employment-related outcomes+ Prepare and submit documentation in a timely manner+ Perform other duties as assignedEDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:+ Bachelor's degree in Human Services or related field, or Associates degree in Human Services with 2 years' experience or equivalent experience.+ 2 years of experience working with IDD population and/or equivalent experience+ Ability to work as an effective team player and the ability to achieve employment outcomes+ Excellent computer, interpersonal and engagement skills+ Good organizational skills+ Bilingual English and Spanish speaking a plusPHYSICAL CHARACTERISTICS:+ The employee is able to drive, walk and sit for lengthy periods of time.Access offers a comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental and vision coverage; an array of voluntary benefits (term life, whole life, identity theft protection and pet insurance); Healthcare and Daycare Flexible Spending Accounts; employer paid Short Term Disability, LTD and AD&D; a matching 403(b) retirement plan, generous paid time off, paid holidays, accelerated holiday pay and tuition assistance.ALL POSITIONS ARE SUBJECT TO A CRIMINAL BACKGROUND, FINGERPRINTING AND MOTOR VEHICLE REPORT CHECK.Access: Supports For Living is an EEO employer-EEO, AAE, M/F/D/VIND2024+ PreviousShare: mailApply Now
