The Food Service Worker will be responsible for correctly setting up and delivering resident meal trays. This position will also be responsible for cleaning and organizing the kitchen, including the dish machine and general kitchen areas. - Excellent customer service skills

Responsibilities/Essential Functions: Department Responsibilities:
- Accurately portion, serve, set up, and deliver all resident meal trays quickly with minimum waste and in accordance with departmental procedures.
- Clean and operate equipment per departmental procedures
- Accurately portion food items such as desserts, nourishments, hot food, cold food, bread, milk, etc.
- Must be proficient in all aspects of the tally position.
- Assist with special events and catering as assigned.
- Safely transport food trucks and equipment throughout the Veterans Home as required.
- Wrap silverware
- Scrape used resident trays of all refuse in the dish machine area and properly run dish machines.
- Mop all floor surfaces
- Clean and wipe food trucks, tables, and stations
- Adhere to organization and department dress codes and time/attendance policy.
- Follow all procedures for correct chemical distribution and labeling.
- Must follow all safety rules and procedures.
- Responsible for Garden Café service and cleanliness.
- Interrelate with fellow employees in the Food Service Department and other departments in LISVH.
- Catering and Vending as assigned,
- All other duties as assigned by supervisors
