Essential Job Duties:• Manages the daily operations of the orthopaedic practice with primary emphasis on the clinical and surgical aspects.• Plans, programs, allocate, and assigns duties to employees. Monitors activities and operations to ensure that the practice successfully meets its objectives.• Oversees and monitors all operations to ensure efficient processing of patient encounters and appropriate documentation. • Supervises and coordinates the activities of all practice personnel.• Organizes and assigns duties to employees related to and in accordance with the ASC Administrator.• Monitors the duties assigned to practice personnel to ensure that employees are performing their assignments in the manner designed to maintain a high level of patient care and job efficiency.• Maintain efficient flow of work throughout the practice by evaluating procedures.• Standardizes procedures and initiates changes where necessary. Constantly reviews procedures to strive for more efficient ways to conduct business and improve patient relations.• Directs operations to prepare and retain records, files, reports and correspondence according to various governmental and practice standard. Prepares and implements a records retention and disposition program for the practice• Monitors Watchtower and notifies appropriate physicians or staff when timely processing is not achieved. Commit delinquent notes for posting as approved by the Board of Directors. Assist physicians with processing notes submitted for proposed billing changes.• Helps establish, revise, and implement practice policy and operating procedures.• Develops and administers an on-the-job training program with the assistance of department manager for new and current employees as required.• Participates in staff meetings to inform the staff of changes in the practice's policy, to update and educate staff, and to resolve and prevent problems.• Helps to maintain and coordinate care of the surgery center and equipment. Ensures routine maintenance of equipment. Ensures cleanliness, organization, functional operating condition, and appropriate décor.• Performs other duties as directed by the physicians and/or executive director to achieve desired results.Education:• Bachelor's Degree of Nursing (BSN, RN) required• Licensed to practice Nursing in Mississippi• 2-3 years' of surgical experience or experience in an OR setting. • 2-3 years' of Nursing experience required; orthopedic experience is highly preferred; experience in discharge planning and outpatient care coordination preferred.• Combination of education and/or experience can be subject to negotiationOther Requirements:• Exceptional customer service, interpersonal skills, and communication skills.• Proficiency of electronic records systems preferred. Must have strong data entry skills.• Must be able to complete tasks with a high degree of efficiency and accuracy while working in a fast-paced environment with frequent disruptions.• Must demonstrate ability to analyze data and resolve complex problems.• Must have the ability to work independently while managing time and workload appropriately.• Must be able to work overtime hours as needed.Job Type: Full-timeRemote: None
