The mission of the Ambulatory Care Department is to deliver comprehensive, compassionate, and quality patient care. The mission is consistent with the hospital's mission, which is to deliver a wide variety of community-oriented health services/programs. Some task include but not limited to:Serve as the primary point of contact for patients seeking outpatient surgery services. • Schedule follow-up appointment• Schedule consults• Confirm appointmentCoordinate and schedule pre-patient appointments, diagnostic tests, and surgical procedures with follow through on recommendations from various consultants as needed with surgeon guidance.. Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records and documentation. Triage patients as needed.QUALIFICATIONS:
Education Required - HS Diploma or EquivalenceLicense/Certification/Registration(s) Required - Graduate from an Approved Medical Assistant Program Experience/Skills Required- Previous experience in a medical setting or 2 years relevant work experience preferred
- Excellent communication/ interpersonal skills
- Bilingual preferred
- Knowledge of computer technology preferred. Successful completion of St. Barnabas Hospital orientation.
