We invite you to Think Different….Farm Better. Title of Job: North East Zone Director Position Summary:Oversees the performance of a designated of teh North East territory. Oversees employees and develops a strategy for continued growth. The North East territory consists of NY to Virgina and west to Michigan. This Includes 3 retail facilites as well as outside sales. Essential Job FunctionsManage the Profit and Loss for the zone.Expert Product knowledge and sales informationBe in touch with their Regional Sales Managers (RSM) and Product and Marketing Manager on a weekly basis (minimum)Monitor sales rep productivity and provide efficient reporting to headquarters.TrainingSales / Gross MarginTime offExpensesEmployee performance issuesEnsure challenges are supportedManage excellence as well as poor performance.Meet with growers at the request of RSMs or ATCs.Be an 'entrepreneur' and oversee a strong sales team of 30+ reps.Responsible for developing and executing sales strategies.Visit with distributors on a regular basisManage effective grower outreach within the zoneWork with local Regional Managers to:Provide feedback on the effectiveness of existing products.Suggest with new formulations for their customers' needs.Understand ongoing local grower and university trial.Develop business plans in association with regional management. Intensify relationships with dealers and develop new ones.Seek and investigate partnership and acquisition opportunities.Share findings with Board of DirectorsResponsibility for retaining existing customers, increasing the customer base and sales through market penetration strategies.Provide sales and production forecastsPromote and monitor CRM use.Responsible for setting sales targets, determining sales initiatives effectiveness and understanding the need for change.Analyze business tactics, sales strategies, performance of the sales team, competitor activity and market research.Develop and assess the sales' team effectiveness, identify errors and make suitable changes is strategies to reach the targets and goals, leading to overall profitability, sales, revenue generation and business targets.Manage Marketing BudgetsDecide how money will be spentCommunicate with Marketing and Communications Manager regarding marketing needs:Participation in Trade ShowsPrinted MaterialsProvide Marketing and Product Development Team with current Timac and customer productivity and newsWeekly DigCrop Scouting ReportsFollow Timac social mediaManage Human Resources/Recruiting IssuesFollow HR protocol to effectively manage employeesWork with HR to fill openingsAttend Management Committee & Sales MeetingsParticipate professionally as requested (presentations, discussions, etc.)Set a productive, professional example for the team.Serve on assigned committees.Travel up to 50%All other duties as assigned. Primary Objectives:Develop sales forecasts, anticipating inventory needs.Manage local warehouses and shipping timing and expensesDevelop a strategy to grow business.Effectively communicate with co-workersManage expenses within your region/territory.Responsible for the overall performance and Gross Margin goals for your territory.Achievement of annual financial goals and objectives (budget) set by the Executive Management on an annual basis,Net sales revenueWarehousing and logistics costsMonitor commercial costs, which include:Commercial team compensationRegional marketing expensesTravel and entertainment expensesTraining and meetings expensesResponsible for the collection of receivables for the zone. You are also expected to provide accurate and complete sales and gross margin projections for the zone from time to time, as needed by the Executive Management Team. Job Requirements:Broad knowledge and experience in the agriculture fieldAbove average skills in communication and mathDemonstrated ability to communicate effectively to individuals and/or groupsDemonstrated ability to lead by example, train and develop employeesVisit with distributors on a regular basis Education and Experience:Degree or equivalent experience: Bachelors in agronomy or related field, Masters preferred Years of experience: 5Other requirements: Certified Crop Advisor (CCA) preferred Interested in joining our Team?
