Job DescriptionAramark Healthcare+ is seeking candidates for a Food Service Director position at Connecticut Children's Medical Center, a 161 bed pediatric hospital, located in Hartford, CT. Reporting to a General Manager, the Food Service Director plans, administers and directs all unit activities related to food service, including Aramark Healthcare+ and client financial accountability, and compliance with the standards established by Aramark Healthcare+, regulatory agencies and client. Leads food service departments and establishes effective working relationships with other departments to provide a unified food service experience for patients, residents, visitors, and employees.Job Responsibilities--- Delivers strong operational performance by executing against Aramark Healthcare+ and regulatory agency standards, continually monitoring operations, and completing assessments and necessary action plans to provide optimal food quality and meal service, and drive patient and customer satisfaction.--- Ensures compliance with food safety, sanitation, and overall workplace safety standards.--- Coordinates and supervises unit personnel regarding production, merchandising, quality and cost control, labor management, and employee training.--- Recruits, hires, develops, and retains front line team.--- Interacts with Client Management and maintains effective client and customer relations at all levels of the client organization, including conducting rounding and identifying Aramark service expansion opportunities.--- Provides overall direction and manages performance for all Food Service Managers, Supervisors, and front line employees, ensuring employee development, engagement, and compliance with human resource-related policies and standards.--- Directs, staffs, and trains food service department regarding food presentation, quality, cost control, and cash handling.--- Develops operational component forecasts and explains variances. Responsible for component's accounting functions.--- Ensures compliance with all contract obligations.Qualifications--- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required--- Requires at least 3-5 years of experience in Food Service Management--- Healthcare experience required--- Strong communication skills, financial acumen, and Microsoft Office skills--- Previous experience utilizing production systems and/or patient menu systems--- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to drive employee engagement#FS-300 #J-18808-Ljbffr
