Job Summary

The Student Assistant will support the Single Point of Entry in the Division of Information Technology (IT) Services as a Student Technician on the Statesboro Campus beginning Spring 2025.

Student employees cannot work more than 1300 hours in a 12-consecutive month period.

Responsibilities

* Prepare and install lab and faculty/staff computers

* Decommission end-of-life devices

* Collaborate with team on Support Automation projects

* Install software and hardware accessories

* Manage asset inventory

* Create and maintain documentation

* Troubleshoot Tier 1 issues

* Provide technical assistance and training to faculty and staff for software and hardware issues

* Assist with AV installs and maintenance

Shift Specifics

* Up to 25 hours per week

* Flexible with schedule of availability

* Shifts available Monday - Friday, 8 AM - 5 PM

Required Qualifications

Educational Requirements

* Must be enrolled in six or more undergraduate credit hours or three or more graduate credit hours at Georgia Southern University.

Proposed Salary

$10.00 per hour

This is a non-exempt position paid on a biweekly basis.
