Position responsibilities:
- Lead the Growth Acceleration Team's commercial diligence practice area that supports investment professionals during evaluation of investment prospects, lead long-term meta analysis of key commercial diligence and trends, present quantitative and qualitative insights into executive-level presentations shared with key internal and external stakeholders, present team's capabilities in case study and pitch deck materials, and monitor project pipeline and document metrics to understand and optimize productivity, capacity, and coverage of global GA investment team.
- Provide external relationship management of third-party providers (data providers, outsourced researchers, and advisors) including outsourcing strategy, global coverage, contract negotiations, and budget oversight; and support portfolio commercial strategy as Team's subject matter expert in commercial diligence and strategy topics.
- Lead firm-level strategy work for the CEO, co-presidents, and management committee; lead and manage production of firm-level thematic content driving our investment program; and manage the development and maintenance of internal knowledge infrastructure including knowledge sharing platforms, portals, newsletters, and other technological frameworks supporting commercial diligence. Qualifications:
- Required: Bachelor's degree in Finance or Economics, plus five years of progressive post-Bachelor's experience in the position offered or as Business Analyst, Senior Business Analyst, Senior Associate, or Operating Associate at a private equity firm with at least $50 billion in assets under management or top-tier global management consulting firm (e.g. Bain, BCG or McKinsey) with at least $3 billion in annual revenues.
- Three years of the required experience must have included:
- Performing complex commercial diligence including analyzing market size, current and future customer demand, competitive landscape, on growth equity sized companies across a variety of sectors including Climate, Consumer, Financial Services, Healthcare, Life Sciences and Technology; applying commercial market knowledge of business environment across the U.S., EMEA, LATAM and APAC regions;
- Leveraging analytical techniques such as statistical modeling, econometric analysis, qualitative synthesis of primary and secondary research, and macroeconomic/microeconomic frameworks;
- Performing third-party commercial diligence scope development, fee evaluations, new provider searches, and impact measurement to monitor consulting firm usage, fees, and project scopes to ensure consistency in delivery. #LI-DNI Must be willing to travel domestically and internationally approximately 20% of the time.
